Escondido & Fagnano Lake – classic
We start the tour in the city of Ushuaia for each of the hotels. Accessing National Route No. 3 heading northeast, and leaving the Beagle Channel behind. The landscape surprises us with incredible routes framed by mountain ranges, valleys, peat bogs, forests of lengas, ñires, coihues and beaver dams.
First leaving the city, we passed through the area where the electronics industry was developed in the 70's.
After crossing the Olivia River, we skirt its homonymous mount to make our first stop at the Carbajal Valley viewpoint, where we will appreciate the immensity of the place, its relief and the glaciers in the background.
Later, we continue along National Route 3, from the route we can see the facilities of the Cerro Castor Andean ski complex.
From there, we will begin the ascent towards the mountain pass, through the Garibaldi Pass, where we will have the dazzling views of the Escondido and Fagnano lakes, about 480 meters above sea level, being able to appreciate the beauty of this lake up close. one of the largest in South America.
We continue our walk along National Route No. 3, we arrive at Lake Fagnano, where we can see incredible landscapes, transforming this day into an unforgettable day.
On the way back to the city, we will stop at one of the winter resorts for lunch. We arrived in the city at approximately 4:00 p.m.
